Welcome to The Academy!

The Ukrainian Academy of Dance was founded 27 years ago by Mrs. Danovia Stefura,

who was passionate about creating a professional environment for Ukrainian dance

training, and creating a dance company that proudly toured the world. The Academy has trained

over 1,500 dancers since 1987, and produced Arkan Dance Company, a senior

semi-professional performing ensemble that has entertained over half a million people

world-wide. Dancers with a passion move up to a group that travels the world.

The Academy boasts one of the finest collections of ethnographically-diverse

costumes from Ukraine, many collected while the director traversed on foot through over a

hundred villages in Ukraine during several folkloric research trips.

Registration in September: September 4, 5, 6 2013 from 6-8pm

Location: 145 Evans Ave. Upper Studio

Class Start Date: Dance Classes start on Monday, September 9, 2013.
